QUICKSILVER CRUISES INDUCTED INTO AUSTRALIAN TRAVEL & TOURISM WINNER CIRCLE

Port Douglas based Quicksilver Cruises has been inducted into the Australian Travel & Tourism Awards “Winners Circle” as the nation’s Best Tour Operator.

This latest honour comes just one week after the Quicksilver Group was awarded the Queensland Tourism Award as the State’s Major Tour and Transport Operator.

Quicksilver Cruises was inducted into the Winners Circle at a ceremony held on the Sunshine Coast on 16 November, being recognized as the “best of the best” having won the Best Tour Operator category for the past two years.

Quicksilver Group Managing Director, Tony Baker said, “This award is especially significant as it is voted by the Australian public and I would like to congratulate our wonderful team who are dedicated to ensuring every guest’s day is a special experience in our part of the world.”

The annual Australian Travel & Tourism Awards are conducted by the Australian Newspaper with voting based on readers’ choices. Federal Tourism Minister Fran Bailey has consistently applauded the awards as being truly representative of consumer choice.
