Quicksilver Group Awarded Top Honours 25th November 2006: NEWS RELEASE, Port Douglas: The Quicksilver Group was awarded the 2006 Queensland Tourism Award for Major Tour and Transport Operator. Announced in Brisbane on 17th November, Chairman and Managing Director Mike Burgess accepted the award on behalf of the company’s nearly 500 employees.“We’re extremely proud to receive this award and is acknowledgement of the hard work, professionalism and dedication of our people through all facets of the operation involved in delivering a world class product.” The past year has seen the purchase of Great Adventures and Green Island Resort, the introduction of the Silver Series comprising Silverswift and Silversonic and the major shareholder of Pro Dive Cairns.
