'Great Barrier Reef Travel Shop opens in Southern China'
In a Quicksilver Group initiative, leading Chinese travel group CITS Shenzhen has branded a new Cairns Australia Great Barrier Reef travel agent shop in the South China province of Guangzhou.
With the aim to promote Australia’s world-renowned Great Barrier Reef and the Tropical North Queensland region, the newly branded travel shop was officially opened on 14 July 2007.
Joining the Quicksilver Group in this initiative are regional tourism body TTNQ – Tourism Tropical North Queensland, and other leading tourism companies including Cairns Optional Tours Alliances (COTA), GBR Helicopter Group, CAPTA Group, Downunder Tours, Kuranda Scenic Rail, Skyrail, Seawalker Australia and Scuba Doo.
As pictured with the CITS team, attending the opening ceremony were Quicksilver Group Managing Director Tony Baker, Quicksilver Group Sales Manager Anthony Teng, Andrew Steele from Hot Air Ballooning, Michael Trout from Blazing Saddles, Billy Zou of COTA, Mark Allen from Scuba Doo and Tourism Queensland representatives Wendy Levy and Jodie Lai.
