Quicksilver’s "Mad Scientists" meet Dr Karl
Our own dynamic duo of “mad scientists” Russell Hore and Doug Baird recently joined famous Australian scientist and media personality Dr Karl Kruszelnicki for an entertaining chat on their regular Port Douglas Radio Show. Dr Karl as he is known, has a totally infectious enthusiasm for science. While on air, the topics ranged from Climate Change to animal conservation and frogs that could turn off stomach acids to have babies! The radio interview was part of a world record attempt for the most interviews by an individual in a 24 hour period (which Dr Karl succeeded in), and in the process raised money for charity. Russ and Doug are regulars on Port Douglas radio with their fun and informative community program, “Quicksilver’s Reef Brief”. Both marine biologists, Russell is the Manager of Quicksilver’s Reef Biosearch department while Doug is the Group’s Enviromental Compliance Manager. Tune into Radio 107.1FM every second Wednesday to find out everything you wanted to know about the reef, but were afraid to ask! |
