Offshore Maintenance Vessel Master <24m NC / Marine Engine Driver Grade 2
VESSEL MASTER
(Master <24m/MED 2)
Quicksilver has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join our marine operations as a Vessel Master <24m on board our offshore maintenance vessel, located at Agincourt Reef, off Port Douglas.
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our offshore pontoons, ancillary vessels and required to drive Semi Submersibles and deliver interpretive commentaries as required.
The position is a challenging one and the successful applicant must have:
- Minimum of Master <24 NC and MED 2 (Higher qualifications an advantage)
- Provide First Aid certification
- Ability to effectively communicate and work well in a small team environment
- Ability and willingness to perform the duties of an OBR Deckhand when required
- A sound understanding of marine life, with the capability to conduct informative and entertaining interpretive commentaries
- Have a solid working knowledge of safety procedures, and the ability to follow relevant policies and procedures
- A dive qualification and/or relevant trade would be an advantage
- Ability to work a rotating roster
