Based in Cairns, Great Adventures is part of the multi-awarded Quicksilver Group and operates a wide range of ecotourism-based cruises to the Great Barrier Reef including Great Adventures’ Reef and Green Island Cruises, Silverswift Dive and Snorkel Adventures, Ocean Spirit Michaelmas Cay Sailing Cruises and Seawalker Green Island.
We operate a modern fleet of six touring vessels, two outer reef platforms (pontoons) and dive services including dive operations on Green Island.
The Customer Services Department of Great Adventures is seeking a Cruise Attendant to work across our fleet of boats. The successful applicant will have:
Well-developed communication skills in English
Great personal presentation that includes but not limited to disposition, uniform, and a neat and tidy appearance
Possess a high standard of customer service skills including the ability to empathically assist and clean up sea-sick passengers
Proven capable cash handling skills, including balancing a float and use of EFTPOS machines
Food and beverage experience, with a good understanding of safe food handling procedures
Hold a valid Queensland RSA or ability to obtain one within 30 days of commencing employment
Hold Elements of Shipboard Safety (ESS) certificate or obtain one within 6 months of commencing employment
Able to work a flexible roster including weekends
Maintain a professional dress code throughout employment period and positively support the company’s uniform policy
Proven ability to work within a small team and take directions from supervisors and senior boat crew
