Based in Cairns, Great Adventures is part of the multi-awarded Quicksilver Group and operates a wide range of ecotourism-based cruises to the Great Barrier Reef including Great Adventures Reef and Green Island Cruises, Silverswift Dive and Snorkel Adventures, Ocean Spirit Michaelmas Cay Sailing Cruises and Seawalker Green Island.
We operate a modern fleet of five touring vessels, outer reef platform (pontoons) and dive services including dive operations on Green Island.
Are you passionate about diving and love sharing the underwater world with others? We’re looking for a PADI certified Dive Instructor fluent in Japanese to join our team and provide unforgettable diving experiences to our growing Japanese clientele.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead scuba diving courses and fun dives in accordance with PADI international safety standards
- Conduct briefings, dive planning, and in-water tours and informative reef presentations
- Provide excellent customer service and safety-focused guidance
- Assist with gear preparation, equipment maintenance, and daily dive operations
- Promote marine conservation and responsible tourism practices
What We’re Looking For:
- Certified PADI Dive Instructor
- Fluent in Japanese and conversational in English
- Previous experience as a dive guide or instructor in a tourism setting preferred
- Enthusiastic, professional, and customer-service oriented
- Valid dive insurance and current CPR/AR/First Aid certification (12 months validity)
- Ability to work a 7-day roster
- Minimum of 3 years’ Dive Instructor experience
