What we are offering
We are seeking dedicated, vigilant and highly motivated Lifeguards to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests participating in in-water activities such as snorkelling and diving. You will be a key part of our safety-focused team, monitoring water activities and responding to emergencies. This position is primarily based on our vessels, with opportunities to assist in shore-based operations.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and rate of pay will depend on skills and experience.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of all guests during in-water activities including snorkelling and diving
- Respond promptly and effectively to any water-based emergencies
- Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and vessels
- Provide first aid and CPR when required
- Assist the crew with guest briefings and safety instructions
- Promote a positive, friendly, and professional environment on board
Essential Requirements:
- Bronze Medallion or Rescue Diver qualification or higher
- Senior First Aid and CPR certifications
- Advanced Resuscitation certification
- Elements of Shipboard Safety (desirable)
- Previous experience working on boats
- Experience managing water safety in all ocean conditions, including rough seas and variable weather
- Strong swimming skills and physical fitness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine commitment to safety and teamwork
