The Whales have arrived!

Humpback season has arrived!!

On the way to Green Island this morning we were privileged to encounter two humpbacks (we believe they were a mother and child), frolicking just off Cairns. The skipper of Reef Adventures, Amanda Matthies, stopped the vessel so our guests could catch a glimpse of this magical encounter.

Humpbacks are generally migrating through the Great Barrier Reef between June and September, but they are elusive, so every rendezvous is very special.
