Resort Activities Officer scoops State’s Best Employee Award

Green Island Resort is delighted Activities Officer, Sid Scott, has been awarded the “Best Employee Award” at the annual Queensland Hotels Association Awards for Excellence announced on the Gold Coast.

The unique 46 room luxury eco-sensitive resort was also a finalist for the “Best Environmental Practice” award.

Sid Scott has been Green Island Resort’s resident Activities Officer since 2007, an active and highly visible face of the Resort’s guest services and daily operations. His role extends from not only ensuring quality and enhanced guest experiences, but also contributing to the Resort’s ongoing commitment to environmental management.

“We are thrilled for Sid and congratulate him on this well deserved award. Genuine enthusiasm is contagious and any new employee under his direction adopts the same attitude, creating a culture that can not be taught or bought,” said Lisa Krause Green Island Resort’s General Manager.

“He is a wonderful ambassador for our resort and region. We all connect to a destination from an experience and for that reason, the number of guests Sid has positively affected will ensure people from all over the world continue to reminisce about their holiday here in Tropical North Queensland.
